When it comes to oxygen therapy, times have changed dramatically. Back in the day, oxygen therapy patients were stuck at home tied to heavy, bulky cylinders or machines. Besides being housebound and literally tethered to your oxygen, you had to schedule oxygen deliveries and handle explosive tanks. As you may know, compressed oxygen is stored under pressure and can be hazardous if dropped or if used near a spark or open flame. In order to leave your home, you had to fill small, portable cylinders or lug around a huge tank on a wheeled cart. Many users were embarrassed to be seen hauling these big oxygen tanks around. The portable cylinders were expensive, limited by their small capacity and frequently needed refilling.  But times are changing.
